Windows 10 Version 1809 Update!

asdfsdafsadfasdf

Microsoft has re-released the Windows 10 Version 1809 October update, and it seems to have very similar problems to the initial release, despite their initial analysis.

The most catastrophic issue being consumer user files being deleted from their user directories.

WE ARE RECOMMENDING EVERYONE WITH WINDOWS 10 TO IMMEDIATELY BACKUP ALL THEIR MAIN USER DIRECTORIES:

  • Contacts
  • Desktop
  • Documents
  • Downloads
  • Favorites
  • Music
  • Pictures
  • Videos

Most people allow Windows 10 to update automatically, since it is the default setting, so this update can come at any time, please backup your files immediately, as once they are gone, rolling back the update will not bring them back and we are have limited in options to recover your lost data. If you need help backing up please let us know and we would be happy to help you!

So far about 20% of customer who have received the upgrade have partially lost data!

—RAMPANT PRINTER PROBLEMS—

We have been having a rash of printer problems recently thanks to a new Windows 10 update, which causes a good number of printers to require complete uninstallation and reinstallation of the printer software. If you’re experiencing printing problems recently try that first! If you have any other questions feel free to call or stop by! If that isn’t convenient for you we can always come onsite to fix any issues you might have! Thank you and have a great rest of your week!

It’s getting very hot again!

Summer is official here in this HOT HOT state of ours! We cannot remind people enough of the importance of blowing the dust out of their computers! You can use compressed air or an air compressor to do so. Be careful when blowing in and around the fans as excessive movement can cause them to wear out faster! If you need any help, want us to do it for you, or have any other questions, feel free to call us and we’ll do our best to help you!

Side Note: Now is the time of year computer power supplies fail more often, the changing temperatures really do a number on older power supply units! If your computer fails to turn on this summer, before you throw it out and buy another, why don’t you bring it in for a free diagnosis. Remember, power supplies are always cheaper than  new computers!
